Calls and messages come in from survivors, family members, and referring social workers across the Western Cape and Gauteng. If you are unsure which route fits your situation, the intake line is the right place to start. Nothing you send is shared outside the unit without your agreement.

Visits are by appointment only. Please call ahead so a practitioner can be available.

Email is checked during office hours. For urgent safety concerns, call rather than write.
Intake calls are usually scheduled within two working days.
Survivors and family members
Call the intake line or send a short email. You do not need to describe what happened in detail to book a first conversation. A practitioner will explain what the intake session covers and how confidentiality works before anything else.
Social workers and referring practitioners
Use the same phone and email to request the referral pack. Please leave out names, case numbers, and graphic descriptions in the first message. We will confirm what the referral needs to contain and which service line fits the client.
Tell us how to reach you and which kind of support you are looking for. We read every request ourselves and reply within two working days. If you are a social worker, clinic, or attorney, use the same form and note that you are requesting the referral pack.
We do not keep identifying case details in shared systems, and nothing you send here is passed on without your agreement. If you are in immediate danger, contact the police first.
Our rooms sit in a converted house off the main road, a short walk from the bus route that runs between the station and the clinic. There is no signage at the gate, and no name on the intercom. If you are coming for a first intake conversation, ring the bell marked with the small brass plate and wait inside the courtyard rather than on the street.

The entrance is on the courtyard side, past the low wall. Parking is available on the street, and the walk from the corner is lit after dark.
If you are unsure about the route or need to change a time, call ahead. Someone answers during office hours, and messages left after that are returned the next working morning.

You will be met by the practitioner handling your intake, not a reception desk. There is a waiting room with a kettle, and sessions run in the two rooms at the back of the house. We do not ask you to state your reason for coming at the gate.
For referrals from social workers, clinics, and legal aid attorneys, the same address applies. Please note on the referral that you are sending a client so we can prepare the file beforehand.
